Borderline was founded in late 2005 as a cover band for the Griffith (NSW Australia) music scene. Original members, brothers Trent and Nathan Harpley, soon grew tired of the cover band scene and with the departure of two band members introduced Matt 'Patto' Patterson into the lineup and Nathan moved to playing Bass Guitar to anchor the lineup.
BORDERLINE released a selection of original songs for their debut EP, the 'Borderline EP' in mid-2008. Success with the EP found the band playing a number of gigs around the country to promote themselves and the CD.
Over December 2009 and January 2010 the boys headed into their own brand new studio at Borderline HQ to record. The CD features two re-recorded songs from the EP and eight brand new songs. This resulted in their debut album 'Take On The World' with lead single 'Leave You Tonight' kicking off a new high-octane hard rock direction for the boys from Griffith.
