FIREHOUSE - When I Look Into Your Eyes

FIREHOUSE - WHEN I LOOK INTO YOUR EYES Nov 20, '11

It is strange, when I look into the past... Since 1991 every musical publicist has been writing about Nirvana´s Nevermind only in superlatives: musical revolution, the most influential album in musical history, the last real ROCK album... and other bullshits. Every of these publicists has been closing his eyes and has been seeing no nonsences in the lyrics, no mistakes in singing or playing, no Wallace´s large sound modifications and designing. The sentence 'Nevermind was profoundly influential, that it 'changed rock overnight.' has been been sounding from everywhere... "For two decades, rock critics have swallowed the Michael Azerrad line that Nirvana 'swept away' the baby boomer, AOR generation, puncturing the cartoonish excesses of hair metal, just as the Sex Pistols slayed prog."
REALLY?

I do not think. My reminiscence about first half of nineties is very different. I remember "new" band Firehouse and their wonderful ballad...and many similar great bands and songs have been staying exciting and interesting for me since nineties to nowadays, but grunge dissolved into nothingness.

FOR ME IT MEANS THAT DERIDED HAIRMETAL PASSED THE TEST OF TIME BUT ANGRY GRUNGE DID NOT!

WELCOME!
