1959
Born in 1959 in Sydney, Australia, GERRY JOE WEISE learned to play guitar at the age of 4.
 
1976-1977
During the 1970s when he was 16 and 17, he guest supported AC/DC, Rose Tattoo, The Angels, Dragon and Midnight Oil at venues like the Bondi Lifesaver and Chequers with rock bands The Class and Siren in Sydney.
 
1978
Early in 1978 when Gerry Joe Weise was still 18, he  joined the progressive-rock  Sydney based band Corroboree. Gerry Joe Weise was  happy to have a chance to cut-it with such dignitary musicians as Craig Collinge on drums (ex Manferd Mann) and Cezary Skubiszewski on keyborads (ex Alexis Korner). Later on after Corroboree's first studio recordings, when Craig Collinge was in England in a recording studio, Billy Joel listened to the Corroboree tape, and commented that he liked very much the guitar-work of Gerry Joe Weise. 
 
1980
In 1980 Gerry Joe Weise took a big step forward and moved to Europe, living in France, Germany and Switzerland until 1999, before moving back to Australia. He has toured Australia, Europe, USA, Hawaii, Tahiti, Fiji, Polynesia, the Azores Isles and Scandinavia.
 
1991 and later on
Gerry Joe Weise initiated his solo career as bluesman guitarist vocalist composer in 1991. That led to appearing on the 1992 Chicago Blues Festival Tour and the 1992 San Francisco Blues Festival Tour in Europe, and performing at important festivals in France : Cahors Blues, Blues Passions Cognac, Blues De Graves Bordeaux, Amiens Jazz Festival with Buddy Guy. He released his popular debut solo album : Live In Paris, in 1994, recorded at the Cadran where Jimi Hendrix performed in 1967. 1994 Cognac Blues Passions, 1999 Jazz and Blues Leognan, 2008 Santa Maria Blues Azores, 2009 Scottsdale Art Fest Arizona, and 2010 Blues en VO Paris, the 2012 Presqu’Ile Blues Festival in Southern France, and the 2012 Gardenstock Festival in Dixon Illinois USA. In 2013, the Hookrock Festival in Diepenbeek Belgium, and the Paris Unhate Festival in duo with Juma Sultan (Jimi Hendrix Woodstock).
 
PLAYING WITH LEGENDS:
Gerry Joe Weise has jammed with B.B. King, John Lee Hooker, Albert Collins and Eric Clapton. He has opened for Ray Charles, Buddy Guy, Yardbirds, Canned Heat, Iggy Pop, John McLaughlin, Pat Metheny, Luther Allison, Joe Louis Walker, Chick Willis, Dave Hole, Deborah Coleman, Matt Guitar Murphy, Luther Houserocker Johnson, Bob Brozman, Jerry McCain, Otis Grand, Maurice McKinnies, Billy Branch, Mark Hummel, Nine Below Zero.
